'He's special': Marc Cucurella heaps praise on Chelsea star

Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has heaped praise on teammate Cole Palmer amid his exemplary performances over the last 18 months.

The England international joined the Blues from Manchester City for £40 million last year and he has been a revelation for them.

Palmer bagged a staggering 42 goal contributions last term. He has continued his fine form with six goals and five assists this season.

When asked about Palmer, Cucurella was full of praise and said that he is very different and special, having found great success on the pitch.

He said: "If you see him not in his kit. You would never in your life say he was a footballer.

"But then on the pitch he shoot's, it doesn’t seem he’s hitting the ball that hard but he scores them all, he’s very different. He’s special."

Palmer could be a key catalyst for the Blues this season as they aim to push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Blues face Liverpool on the road after the international break and it promises to be an enthralling game at Anfield.
