Arsenal suffer triple injury blow ahead of Real Madrid clash
Arsenal have suffered a triple injury blow ahead of the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid on the road.
The Gunners registered a stunning 3-0 win over Los Blancos in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium this week. Declan Rice scored with two world-class free-kicks before Mikel Merino bagged the club's third.
Arsenal played out a 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford yesterday and speaking after the game, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed multiple concerns on the fitness front.
Ben White missed the derby with a knee problem and remains doubtful. Alongside him, Thomas Partey and Jorginho are uncertain too.
Partey picked up an injury against the Bees and was substituted. Jorginho could not carry on playing. He was holding his chest before his substitution.
It remains to be seen whether any of them will be fit for Wednesday. Partey was sensational in the first leg against Madrid with his defensive contributions.
His absence would be a massive blow for the north London giants.
