Man Utd to sign Brazilian playmaker after Europa League final
Manchester United are poised to complete the transfer of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Matheus Cunha after the Europa League final, according to Sky Sports News.
The Brazil international has had a terrific campaign with Wolves, registering 17 goals and six assists in all competitions. He is expected to pursue a bigger challenge and reports claim that United are set to land his signature.
Cunha has already agreed personal terms with the Mancunian giants and the club are expected to negotiate on the fee rather than triggering his £63 million release clause.
United are reportedly confident of finding an agreement with Wolves after the Europa League final. A transfer could be agreed upon before the end of the month, as per Sky.
Arsenal have also explored the possibility of landing the former Atletico Madrid man, but Cunha has made the decision to join United even if they won't play in Europe next term.
Alongside Cunha, United are eyeing an ambitious move for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo and Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
