Arsenal set to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga - David Ornstein
Arsenal are set to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to reputed journalist David Ornstein.
The Gunners are on the hunt for a backup goalkeeper following Neto's return to Bournemouth after his loan stint.
Mikel Arteta's side made initial contact with Arrizabalaga this week, and have now agreed personal terms with him.
The Spaniard is prepared to fight for his place with David Raya next term.
Arsenal are expected to trigger his release clause worth £5 million.
Arrizabalaga accepted a 50 percent paycut on his £150,000 per week wages at Chelsea during a renewal last summer.
He could receive a similar package (£75,000 per week) at the Gunners.
The arrival of Arrizabalaga means Arsenal won't be signing Joan Garcia.
The Espanyol goalkeeper agreed personal terms with the Gunners last summer, but a deal did not materialise in the end.
Garcia now wants guaranteed playing time. He has decided to join Barcelona, who will trigger his £21m release clause.
The Catalan giants are ready to assure him a starting berth next season ahead of Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Wojciech Szczesny.
