Newcastle defender to be offered new deal to stay put
Newcastle United will offer a new contract to 22-year-old full-back Tino Livramento as the club seek to tie the England international to a fresh deal to stave off interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City. Livramento has been outstanding since moving from Southampton to St James' Park, and Guardiola's side were said to be readying a £65 million offer for the former Chelsea youth player.
Since making his debut in the Premier League, Livramento has gone on to play in close to 100 top flight games and is widely considered one of the best full-back's in the country. Pep Guardiola has already signed Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, but is looking to add at least one more defender in the summer transfer window, and is a huge admirer of Livramento.
Livramento starred in this summer's 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship victory in which the England side went all the way to win the title, and proved his credentials in the process as he went on to play every minute of the competition.
Newcastle are said to be ready to almost double Livramento's salary for him to stay put at the club and talks are currently ongoing.
