Man City make bid for Rodrygo
Manchester City have contacted Real Madrid as they seek to sign Brazilian international Rodrygo in a 75 million euro transfer window deal before the summer transfer window closes. With Savinho, Jack Grealish and James McAtee all likely to depart the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola will move for 24-year-old Rodrygo.
City are looking for at least one big money player before the 1st of September transfer window closes, and Brazil international Rodrygo is the target for Pep Guardiola. Arsenal had been in contact with Real Madrid with regard to a move for Rodrygo, but their offer was promptly rejected and the Gunners opted to sign Noni Madueke instead. According to reports, Mikel Arteta was concerned about Rodrygo's temperament and looked for alternatives instead.
Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is looking to sell at least two players and it is understood Rodrygo has been told he is free to leave. With two years remaining on his deal, the former Santos winger is eager to move to England and to join City as the club seek to regain the Premier League title after a disappointing campaign in 2024-25.
