Antonee Robinson set for Liverpool move?

Antonee Robinson has been linked with a transfer move to Liverpool, as the American international left-back could replace the outgoing Andy Robertson at Anfield. Robertson will leave Liverpool for Premier League rivals Tottenham, and Robinson, who has been in excellent form for the Cottagers in recent seasons, is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League champions.

A dismal 3-2 defeat away at Bournemouth yesterday has put Liverpool boss Arne Slot under pressure, and the club are considering moves for new signings before the transfer window closes at the end of January. Robinson is seen as possible backup to Milos Kerkez initially, but with a view to put pressure on the Hungarian who has been in mixed form so far this season.

Liverpool have struggled defensively in recent times, and a lack of clean sheets is a major concern for Slot.

It is understood that Antonee Robinson will be available for around £25 million in this window, but Fulham boss Marco Silva would like to keep hold of the player. Robinson is set to be an important part of the USA national team for the World Cup this summer.
