Geremi eyes Newcastle stay
Newcastle defender Geremi has revealed he would be keen to stay at the club, despite rumours linking him with a January transfer window exit from the Toon. Besiktas and Galatasaray have been mentioned as potential destinations for the player.
Geremi has been one of Newcastle's most consistent players since he arrived from Chelsea.
"I only know what I read in the newspapers and what I hear from my friends, who have been calling me asking what is happening," Geremi told The Shields Gazette.
"I have been linked with a few clubs, but I would say my future is here. Newcastle have not told me I am not wanted, and I do not know if they are trying to sell me.
"What I know is that I want to play for Newcastle. I said when I signed (in 2007) that I wanted to complete my three years. When you are in football you know what you want.
"I have no intention to move - I love the Premier League - but you can never say never. If the club say they don't want me, then I would have to think about my future."
