The Italian giants, AC Milan, are lining up a bid for LA Galaxy's David Beckham to turn his loan deal into a permanent one.

AC Milan are "in talks" with LA Galaxy to buy the on-loan midfielder David Beckham. Beckham is enjoying a great run of form in the Serie A, contributing with goals and assists to the team. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said that they badly need him. He said "It will be tough to lose him, we will make every effort to have him here."

The right sided midfielder enjoys a huge wage package and other bonuses in LA Galaxy and it will be a roadblock to his transfer to Milan. The player gets £4.5m a year from the United States club. His contract was worth £128m for five years when he joined LA Galaxy. The credit crunch and the economic situation in UK has laid to the value of pound sterling to go down and thus the potential contract has become a whopping £175m!

Although a correct amount is not known, he could be paid around £12m a year at LA - a huge sum that Milan can't pay.

So, the Italians are talking to sponsors to supplement the wages. Beckham has already hinted that he would love to stay at the Rossoneri and he would accept a pay cut to join them. AC Milan has many stars in the team including previous world player of the year Kaka and Ronaldinho.
