"Phil you have my support" - Terry

John Terry announced that Big Phil Scolari, Chelsea's axed boss, has his full support and backing. He said that the Brazilian world cup winner is a great man.

Chelsea captain, John Terry, said that Luis Felipe Scolari is a great man and he deserved more respect at the club. The England international said that Scolari had his backing and he always supported the boss.

Inside reports from Chelsea suggest that it was Petr Cech, Didier Drogba and Micheal Ballack who met Roman Abramovich in a training day last week and discussed about the future of Chelsea. It seems that the "meeting" eventually was the cause of Big Phil's downfall.

Terry had nothing to comment about it and he said that he was "shocked" about hearing Scolari's sack.

"I am shocked by the news, I have sympathy for him. I support him, and I am sure that a few other players also think the same."

Terry said that it was the players who should be blamed for the recent poor run in the league.

“We’ve not been performing well individually and collectively as a squad.

"One or two of us feel we could have done better. We started off very well, but things dipped in form and results. At the end of the day, it’s about results. That’s unfortunate for Mr Scolari."

John Terry is currently in Spain to play the international friendly against them.

“At the start of the season I was playing well, for the first five or 10 games. Since then I could have been better. "
