Carlton Cole targeted by Stoke

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has turned his attentions to West Ham United striker Carlton Cole, after losing the race to land Chelsea forward Danny Sturridge.

Stoke will offer 3m GBP to land the player, who has been told by the Hammers that he can leave the club due his heavy salary burden.

Since relegation to the Championship; West Ham have announced they will have to sell some of their best stars such as Robert Green, Scott Parker and also Cole.
