Everton want Branislav Ivanovic as Jagielka replacement
Everton boss Ronald Koeman will make the move to sign Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, should Phil Jagielka leave for Sunderland in the coming days.
The Toffees have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks with victories over Manchester City and Crystal Palace getting them ever close to the European places.
According to The Mail, the club are expecting the sale of Jagielka before the transfer deadline, and this could see them lodge a bid for Ivanovic.
The Serb has been more of a bench warmer since the start of November, and he would invite the chance of earning a regular run at Goodison in the second half of the campaign.
Chelsea are unlikely to offer a fresh contract to Ivanovic, and they would prefer accepting a cut-price deal rather than losing him on a free at the end of the season.
