Louis Saha urges Anthony Martial to stay at Manchester United
Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has urged Anthony Martial to remain at Old Trafford and fight for his position under Jose Mourinho.
The 22-year-old endured a difficult 2017/18 campaign where he failed to contribute a goal or assist between February and May and this eventually cost him a World Cup berth with France.
Despite this, Saha, who has closely followed Martial's progress, believes his compatriot should stay put at United and prove his credentials, he told Omnisport: "He's a great player. His pace makes me crazy. That's just great.
"I want him at United in the best condition. [Jose] Mourinho needs to maybe understand how to give him confidence. It's a challenge that Martial has to overcome because I think he's able to."
Martial had been in good form for United between the months of August and January where he managed to score 11 goals but his form deteriorated shortly after the winter arrival of Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean was handed the left-wing role where Martial found most of his success and the change of position did not suit the Frenchman for the final months of the season.
