Gary Cahill sends title warning to Liverpool
Former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has said that Liverpool can't count Manchester City out of the Premier League title race despite their strong start to the season.
The Reds recently saw their perfect run to the season end with a 1-1 draw at Manchester United but they are still holding a six-point advantage over the Citizens at the top of the standings.
In a report covered by The Mirror, Cahill, who now plays for Crystal Palace, said that the title race is far from over with the holders bound to offer stiff competition over the course of the season.
"When you speak about the title being over, you speak about it in February and March time. At the moment, if City stay in and around it, you have seen the quality they have. It is definitely not over," he told.
Liverpool are scheduled to face Genk in the midweek Champions League game on the road. Manchester City, meanwhile, entertain Atalanta BC in their home ground.
