Emmanuel Adebayor set for shock Aston Villa move?
Aston Villa have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Togo international striker Emmanuel Adebayor on a free transfer. The forward, who had a spell with Man City, Tottenham and Arsenal in the past, is looking for a return to England and his eye on a move to another Premier League side.
Villa are looking to add attacking options to their squad after the long-term injury of forward Wesley.
Adebayor's last spell in England was at Crystal Palace, where he scored just one goal in 15 games.
The forward is believed to be ready to accept a fee of around £30,000 per week for a move to England.
Adebayor also had a spell last year with Turkish side Kayserispor where he proved to be a resounding success, but the club decided not to give the striker a fresh contract.
It is also understood that Aston Villa will do battle with several other candidates, including French club Rennes and Italian side AC Milan, as well as Spanish side Villarreal who will submit an offer to the forward this week.
