James Rodriguez to join Everton this January?
Everton are in the race to sign Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez on loan in the January transfer window as new manager Carlo Ancelotti seeks to strengthen his attacking options. The Italian boss is plotting a move for Rodriguez as he understands that the Colombian international could be available for a short-term deal.
Rodriguez also apparently has the option to return to Bayern Munich on loan. The Colombia international had a failed stint with the German side last season and opted against a permanent move, but now Bayern are reconsidering an approach for the talented playmaker.
Everton have been struggling so far this season in the Premier League, but have recently reversed their form since the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti.
The Toffees have attacking options in Theo Walcott, Richarlison and Sigurdsson but all three players have not been in their best form so far this season.
It is expected that Everton will also do battle with Inter Milan and French side Lyon for the capture of James Rodriguez this month. Rodriguez is also expected to leave Real Madrid for a fee of around 45 million euros in the summer.
