Arsenal yet to finalise deal for Ben White
Arsenal have yet to reach an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion for defender Ben White.
The Gunners recently made an opening bid worth £40m plus add-ons, which was rejected by the Seagulls.
Their second offer of £42m plus add-ons has also been snubbed, and The Sun claims that Brighton want at least £50m up front.
White has been attracting plenty of interest. He has recently been linked with French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.
Brighton owner Tony Bloom has no plans to negotiate on the fee. The Gunners are likely to make a renewed approach.
White has been identified as their prime defensive target. Mikel Arteta is keen to cover the void left by David Luiz's exit.
William Saliba is an option for the Spanish tactician, but reports claim that the 20-year-old could be loaned out next season.
The Frenchman is on the radar of at least eight clubs. Newcastle United are deemed front-runners to land him on a temporary deal.
