Chelsea keep pushing for Aubameyang
Chelsea remain interested in signing former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, according to Gerard Romero.
The Blues have parted ways with Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku in recent weeks, and they are now eyeing a new marksman.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on a reunion with Aubameyang, but it remains to be seen whether they can convince Barcelona.
The Spanish giants are prepared to lose one of Memphis Depay or Aubameyang, and the former seems likely to move on.
Depay is in the process of agreeing personal terms with Juventus, and it is reported that Barcelona could terminate his contract.
If that happens, Aubameyang will most probably stay with the Blaugrana, but Chelsea are still hopeful of pursuing his signature.
Aubameyang bagged 20 goals for Arsenal and Barcelona last term. Chelsea have lacked a similar scoring striker in their ranks.
Diego Costa was the last striker to hit 20 goals in a single campaign. This happened during the 2016/17 season under Antonio Conte.
