Tim Cahill scored a last minute equaliser for Everton to help earn them a cracking point at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. Didier Drogba looked to have done enough to get three points, but Tim Cahill's brave effort towards the end saved the day.

  • Goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini started in place of the injured Petr Cech in goal while Shaun Wright-Philips and Jon Obi Mikel were preferred to Claude Makelele and Florent Malouda in midfield.

Toffees boss David Moyes made one change with Tony Hibbert replacing injured playmaker Mikel Arteta.

Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba scored after 70 minutes while Australian international midfielder Tim Cahill scored the equaliser with an acrobatic volley in the last minute.

Avram Grant’s side took their points tally to 25 from 13 games while David Moyes’ Toffees are on 20 points from 13 games.

There was a injury blow for the home side as central defender Ricardo Carvalho had to be withdrawn and Tal Ben Haim came in as a substitute.

Skipper Frank Lampard saw his shot from 18 yards being deflected to safety by Tim Howard around the half hour mark.

Drogba opened the scoring for the Blues when he headed home after Salomon Kalou delivered a corner kick from left wing.

The Toffees fought gallantly and scored the equaliser in the last minute of normal time as Cahill found the target with an outstanding overhead kick from the penalty area.
