Nicklas Bendtner finally gave the lead to the Gunners when he scored of a rebound from shot stopper David Marshall in the 88th minute, and was replaced by Thomas Vermaelen after his goal having suffered an ankle injury.

Theo Walcott added the icing on the cake by scoring the second goal in injury time, taking his goal tally to five in his last five appearances.
