West Ham United will face competiton from the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona to land Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic. The Croatian is likely to have his playing time limited following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.
Mandzukic played second fiddle to Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata for the centre-forward role last season.
With Morata having rejoined Real Madrid over the summer, there had been suggestions that the 30-year-old could earn a key role at the Turin giants.
However, his situation has turned to be the same, with the Old Lady opting to recruit Higuain from Napoli on a club-record £75m fee.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Hammers are not alone in the pursuit of their player with the Gunners and Barca having joined the chase.
Barca are looking to employ a striker who could play back-up to their famed trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar whilst Arsenal have set their sights on signing a new centre-forward.
Mandzukic netted 13 goals in 36 appearances for the Old Lady following his move from Atletico Madrid last term.
