Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is considering a move back to Serie A club Juventus at the end of the season, which would see Premier League teams Chelsea and Manchester United miss out on the signature of the Spain international.
Morata has made no secret in recent times of his disappointment at a lack of game time at the Bernabeu, with manager Zinedine Zidane preferring to play Karim Benzema in that centre forward role.
Real Madrid currently value Morata at around £50 million, almost double the buy back price that he had written into his contract whilst at Juventus. Tuttosport claims today that Morata will seriously consider a move back to the Italian club, if they can meet that valuation of him.
Twenty four year old Morata had a successful two seasons with Juve, winning the Serie A title in both of them. That was enough to persuade Real Madrid to re-sign him, but since then, the Spanish striker has failed to secure a position in the starting line up.
Although this comes as a set back, it will not deter the Premier League interest, with Chelsea in particular very keen on signing Morata in the summer. Reports suggest that Morata is near the top of Antonio Conte's shortlist, and may be willing to pay up to £70 million for him.
