Man Utd plan to offer Luke Shaw in Rose deal

Tottenham could lose key defender to Manchester United

30 May 2017 - 05:44

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing themselves for a busy summer period with a host of key players being linked with potential moves away from the club.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Spurs finished the Premier League season as runners-up to Chelsea, and they will now hope to keep their squad intact ahead of a potential title challenge next term.

According to The Mirror, United are favourites to pursue the services of Danny Rose despite the player requiring a surgery for an injured knee.

Jose Mourinho is keen to add a specialist left-back to his ranks capable of maintaining a tireless work rate, and it is understood that Rose is the perfect fit to replace Luke Shaw.

As a result, Spurs are on the lookout for potential recruits with Mauricio Pochettino likely to welcome a reunion with Shaw in a player-plus-cash deal this summer.

Meanwhile, Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon is also on the club's radar, but they still face stiff competition from the likes of United, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Rose is expected to miss the start of the new Premier League season as he requires a lengthy period to recuperate from his recurrent injury.
