Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning an ambitious attempt to sign Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah in the January transfer window.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Egypt international only joined the Reds from AS Roma in the summer, and he has since notched 12 goals across all competitions for the Merseyside giants.

Salah bagged a brace in the 4-1 triumph over West Ham United, and he is now on seven goals for the Premier League campaign, only one behind joint top-scorers Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.

According to El Gol Digital, the Capital outfit are planning an audacious swoop for the 25-year-old when their transfer embargo concludes in the New Year.

Diego Simeone's side are prepared to pay as much as £50m to pursue the in-form forward while they are also open to discussing a swap deal involving Yannick Fereira Carrasco.

Salah has not done much wrong in the Reds shirt since his debut against Watford in August, and Jurgen Klopp is likely to knock back any advances from the La Liga outfit.

Atleti have had their concerns in the striking department this term, and this has seen them draw five of their opening 11 matches. They are presently eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona in fourth spot.
