Italian manager Max Allegri has reiterated his ambition to stay put with Juventus for the 2018/19 season. The 50-year-old guided the Bianconeri to their seven straight Serie A crown following last night's goalless draw at AS Roma.
Allegri has been mentioned as one of the leading candidates to replace Arsene Wenger as the new Gunners head coach but he has now distanced himself from the speculation. Speaking after the Roma draw, he said via Goal.com: "If they don't fire me, then I think I'm staying at Juventus next year too."
Aside from Allegri, former Gunner and Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta has been talked about as a possible contender and Pep Guardiola suggested on Sunday that he would not block his compatriot's desire to step into management.
Arsenal ended the season with their lowest-ever finish and points tally under their departing boss Wenger and the summer is expected to witness plenty of player changes under a new manager.
