Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has praised Liverpool's performance as they defeated West Ham United in their opening Premier League game at Anfield.
Mane continued from where he left last season by scoring two goals as the Reds ran out four nil winners.
Last season's Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal, and former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge netted with his first touch after coming on as a second half substitute to give them their fourth.
"We played great football, created lots of chances and deserved to win. I'm happy to score goals for the team," the Senegalese said, Sky Sports reports.
Mane played 29 Premier League games for Liverpool last season, scoring 10 goals.
This win will give Jurgen Klopp and his men massive confidence having spent heavily on new recruit before the close of the summer transfer window in England.
The Reds, who finished fourth last season are expected to be among the contenders for the league title this season, and a victory like this will only make expectations soar despite the fact that only a game has been played.
