Aaron Ramsey drops update on his Gunners future

02 September 2018 - 21:19

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suggested that he is 'excited and optimistic' over his future under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Wales international has already entered the final year of his contract with the north London side and so far, he has yet to agree upon a possible extension.

Despite this, Ramsey has spoken glowingly about Emery since the summer and he has now said that he is very excited and optimistic of working under the Spanish head coach.

"I am very excited and optimistic," the Welshman told Sky Sports News. "We will get better with every game. We are all very positive and optimistic and we are all on board with it."

The interview was held prior to the Premier League game at Cardiff City, where the Gunners picked up a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over Neil Warnock's side.

Based on recent history, the Capital outfit were expected to dominate the proceedings versus Cardiff and they rightly did so, though their defensive performance was not upto scratch.

Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shkodran Mustafi and Alexandre Lacazette handed the victory for the Gunners, who are now upto six points from the opening four games of the new season.
