Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Liverpool - Premier League

Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) to face Liverpool, Hazard and Hudson-Odoi start

12 April 2019 - 17:17

Chelsea make the trip to Anfield for Sunday's crunch Premier League clash against Liverpool. The Blues are currently occupying the fourth position in the standings, but they can afford no slip-ups with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United right behind them in the race for the Champions League places.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the number one pick for the goalkeeping duties this term. The Spaniard is certain to start and can expect a tricky afternoon with an in-form Reds attack against him.

In the defence, Maurizio Sarri should revert to the same backline from the previous gameweek. Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson are set to feature in the full-back positions with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger making up the heart of the backline.

In the midfield, Jorginho is expected to feature in the holding midfield role and ahead of him, the likes of N'Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are likely to feature after being restricted to bench roles against Sparta Praha in the Europa League in midweek.

In the frontline, Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi should be recalled to the starting lineup after the midweek European game. The pair are likely to feature either side of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain, who was left on the bench for the slender 1-0 win at Sparta.
