Preview: Man Utd vs Liverpool

In part one of a festival of Premiership football on Easter Sunday, Manchester United host Liverpool at Old Trafford. No side will expect anything less than a win if they are to continue their Premiership ambitions.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Venue: Old Trafford

    Kick-off: 1330 GMT

    Fergie: consistency the key

"I don't think you can say that it will be decisive. I think if we win and Arsenal and Chelsea lose, it will be a good day! The team who shows the real consistency now will win the league."

    Form may be the key

Manchester United and Liverpool are both teams in great form. United have won five on the bounce - Liverpool six; both are the top two in the form league tables.

    Injuries and Suspensions

Rio Ferdinand is likely to miss out through injury, but Edwin van der Sar may be on his way back. Louis Saha may return for a place on the bench.

For Liverpool, there are no new fresh injury worries. Liverpool may play Riise on the left instead of Babel, however. Daniel Agger will miss out - and Fernando Torres has shaken off a knock.

    Squads

Liverpool (from): Reina, Arbeloa, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Skrtel, Aurelio, Riise, Babel, Benayoun, Alonso, Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Torres, Voronin, Crouch, Pennant, Itandje.
