Chelsea have the chance to register a seventh league win on the bounce when they face Manchester City on the road this evening. The west London giants have made a good start after the opening 12 games and they are presently in the third spot with a one-point advantage over the Citizens.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga is a definite starter in goal for the Blues. In the defence, it could remain the same from the previous league clash against Crystal Palace. Reece James is probably the only debatable player with the competition from Cesar Azpilicueta but the youngster should earn the right-back spot after shutting out Wilfried Zaha before the international break.

In the centre of the park, Lampard may go with a three-man combination in order to curb the attacking threat from the hosts. In this case, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante are bound to feature but the latter could be offered with the added freedom to link up with his teammates on the attack.

Further forward, Frank Lampard will most likely choose Willian for the right-wing role, given his experience and good form of late. In the opposite flank, we are fancying Christian Pulisic to start after netting five goals in the past three league games. Upfront, Tammy Abraham will definitely feature, having amassed 10 goals from the opening 12 league games.

Predicted XI: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Emerson, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Willian, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham.
