Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey could demand around £200,000-a-week, should Arsenal manage to reach a transfer agreement for his services.
The Gunners are keen on signing the Ghanaian this summer, but they have been reluctant to trigger the £45m release clause available in his contract.
As a result, they are looking into a potential part-exchange deal with Atletico, but so far, they have yet to make the breakthrough in negotiations.
Should the Gunners convince Atletico into a sale, it is revealed that Partey will demand a significant increase on his current £65,000-a-week salary.
The midfielder has refused to sign a new contract at Atletico and it is reported that he may demand up to 200,000-a-week to join the Gunners.
Arsenal are aiming to sign at least four players during the current transfer window and they are hoping to recoup part of the funds from player sales.
Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Sokratis and Alexandre Lacazette are among the first-team stars, who could head for the exit door.
