Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the injury sustained by David Luiz against Leicester City.
The Brazilian had an impressive first half against the Foxes, where he delivered a number of accurate long balls.
However, his game ended in disappointment as he was substituted in the 49th minute with an apparent thigh problem.
The Gunners eventually suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Foxes after a late goal on the counter-attack by Jamie Vardy, who came off the bench.
Speaking after the game, Arteta confirmed a muscular concern for Luiz and said that the defender will be assessed over the next 48 hours.
"David had a muscular problem and he couldn't carry on - we'll have to assess him in the next 48 hours," He told via Arsenal.com.
Arsenal are scheduled to host Dundalk in the Europa League in midweek before they face Manchester United on the road in the Premier League.
Arteta will be hoping that Luiz can return to training before the Old Trafford trip, given Shkodran Mustafi was far from impressive as his replacement.
