Arsenal are ready to make a January approach to sign Royal Antwerp wonderkid Arthur Vermeeren, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Gunners bolstered their midfield with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz last summer, but there could be more reinforcements next year.

Jorginho, Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny are in their 30s and there is a possibility that all three of them could leave in 2024.

With this in mind, the Gunners are on the look out for young talent and reports claim that Vermeeren is a January target for them.

Mikel Arteta\'s side are willing to pay around €15 million for the 18-year-old, but Antwerp are said to be holding out for at least €25m.

If the Gunners are unwilling to meet the price, Antwerp are prepared to keep the youngster until the end of the campaign at least.

However, this could negatively impact the Gunners as there could be more interest while Antwerp are expected to increase the price too.
