Manchester United could go head-to-head with Arsenal in the race to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in the summer.
The Dutchman has developed into a quality striker in his second year at Bologna. He has nine goals and six assists thus far.
He is expected to leave the Serie A outfit in the summer and Alex Crook claims that both United and Arsenal want to land him.
United are probably eyeing a competitor to Rasmus Hojlund while Arsenal may likewise want someone to push Gabriel Jesus.
Anthony Martial is likely to leave United this summer with his contract expiring. Zirkzee could come in as his replacement.
At Arsenal, it could be Eddie Nketiah heading for the exit door, having failed to prove his credentials with regular goals.
Arsenal have also been linked with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney. Zirkzee could be seen as a back-up target.
Zirkzee won't come on the cheap in the summer with Bologna said to value him in the region of €45-50 million, as per Italian sources.
