Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Man City, Gabriel Martinelli starts

21 September 2025 - 14:39

Arsenal entertain Manchester City in today's much-awaited Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

  • Enzo Maresca provides update on Enzo Fernandez's injury
  • 23yo ace expected to start for Man Utd vs Liverpool

  • Ahead of the encounter, manager Mikel Arteta is bound to make a few changes from the 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Line-up:

David Raya is a guaranteed starter in goal for the north London giants. He will be eyeing his fourth clean sheet of the top-flight campaign.

The defence will witness one change. William Saliba is fully fit after an ankle problem and should partner Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.

This would mean Cristhian Mosquera dropping to the bench. Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori are set to feature in the full-back roles.

In midfield, there could be a solitary change too. Mikel Merino could make way for Martin Odegaard return after a shoulder injury last weekend.

Odegaard is likely to play as the advanced central midfielder with Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi providing protection behind the Norwegian.

In the final third, we anticipate another change. Gabriel Martinelli was sensational off the bench in midweek with a goal and assist to his name.

He should replace Eberechi Eze on the left wing. The rest of the XI should stay the same. Viktor Gyokeres is expected to lead the line with Noni Madueke operating from the right side of the Gunners' attack.

Bukayo Saka has been training with the team after returning from a hamstring injury, but he could be eased back into action off the bench.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Man City: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Odegaard, Rice; Madueke, Gyokeres, Martinelli.
