Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Bayer Leverkusen, Gyokeres starts

17 March 2026 - 19:19

Arsenal host Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie tonight.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • The Gunners played out a 1-1 draw against the German outfit in the first leg and will be aiming to make amends with a victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Ahead of the game, there could be four changes to the starting XI.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been ever-present in goal for the Gunners and he is expected to continue between the sticks against Leverkusen.

In the backline, there could be two changes from the 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League. Cristhian Mosquera is expected to replace the injured Jurrien Timber at right-back.

Piero Hincapie has been the regular starter on the opposite end and should replace Riccardo Calafiori tonight. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are guaranteed to start in central defence.

Similarly, Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice are poised to continue in the heart of the midfield. Eberechi Eze has been the regular in the number 10 role and looks likely to keep his place.

We expect a couple of changes in the final third. Kai Havertz should make way for Viktor Gyokeres upfront. The Swede scored the crucial winning goal against the Toffees on Saturday.

Noni Madueke barely impressed on the left wing and could make way for Gabriel Martinelli, who has seven goal contributions in Europe this term. Bukayo Saka is expected to start on the right wing.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Bayer Leverkusen: Raya; Mosquera, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Eze, Martinelli; Gyokeres.
