Alan Dzagoev on Arsenal radar
Arsenal are closely monitoring Alan Dzagoev, the young Russian midfielder labelled "the star of his generation" by Gunners' own Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin.
According to reports from both England and Russia, the Gunners have been tracking Dzagoev for several months and scout Steve Rowley has provided glowing references for Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners are scouring Europe to find a young creative midfielder to take the place of Cesc Fabregas.
Dzagoev has also been personally monitored by Chelsea's chairman Roman Abramovich, too, who rates the youngster very highly.
Yesterday evening, Dzagoev scored the winning goal to help Russia in their 1-0 victory over Slovakia.
It seems that Arsenal may miss out in their pursuit of Eden Hazard, and so have turned their attention to the young Russian.
