Liverpool to sign Kolo Toure on free transfer
Liverpool are set to seal a major coup in the transfer market as Manchester City defender Kolo Toure will sign a two year contract at Anfield later this week.
According to reports, the out of contract centre back and his agent have been locked in discussions with Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers this week.
Man City decided not to offer the defender a new contract as confirmed by Roberto Mancini earlier on in the month, and the former Arsenal man will now make a move to his third Premier League club. Toure will earn a reported £90,000 a week at Anfield, and is lined up a replacement for Jamie Carragher, who retired on Sunday.
