Liverpool agree £6.8m deal to sign Luis Alberto

Liverpool are  set to land the Spanish Under 21 International forward after Sevilla accepted a transfer bid from the Anfield side.

Liverpool have agreed a £6.8m deal with Sevilla on the signing striker Luis Alberto according to the Daily Mail.

This source claims that the move is an alternative to replace Liverpool’s want-away star Luis Suarez as Alberto is identified as the ‘New Luis Suarez’.

Alberto is a player who has a great future ahead and the Spanish Under 21 international gave his impression during his loan spell at Barcelona’s ‘B’ side, where he netted 11 goals last season.

Sevilla are in need of enough funds to balance the books and would probably have not sold a player as talented as Luis Alberto but their loss could certainly be Liverpool’s gain.

Brendan Rodgers will be looking to stiffen his attack in spite of Suarez’s long term future at Anfield in doubt, not least because the Uruguayan will be suspended for the first six games of the new season but also due to Daniel Sturridge’s ankle injury which he sustained whilst in International duty.

As per now Liverpool have had their bid accepted and would be willing to have personal discussions with Luis Alberto on the move.
