Napoli Chase Higuain And Damiao

Napoli have confirmed their pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain and Leandro Damiao this transfer season. The club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, admits that the club is holding negotiations to sign the South American duo.
After the sale of Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain for €64 million, the Partenopei are looking to complete a double swoop for the duo, whilst Madrid man Raul Albiol will move to the club, following his medical.
Gonzalo Higuain has been on Arsene Wenger’s radar for very long now but the Gunners are seemingly shifting focus on the acquisition of Luis Suarez, whereas Damiao has been persistently linked with Tottenham.
"We are negotiating for Leandro Damiao and Higuain. Albiol is already having a medical.", tweeted De Laurentiis.
Laurentiis also said that Cavani’s sale has doubled the funds in the transfer kitty for Rafa Benitez, who is fiercely targeting the market for new signings.
"If we add that €64.5m to the €60m that we had in our budget already then we get €124.5m that Napoli will invest with diligence and experience”
