Barca defender warns United over Cesc move

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique have warned his former club Manchester United that they are just 'wasting their time' in trying to sign Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The defender admitted that no matter how much the Premier League champions offer, Fabregas is happy at Camp Nou and is not looking for a move away. 


“United are wasting their time.", he said.


"He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona.”

Manchester United manager revealed yesterday that the club has made a second offer for the Spaniard but reports emanating from Spain suggest that the offer has already been declined. 


Amidst suspense surrounding the new manager at Barcelona, it is unlikely that the club would be willing to negotiate over the 26 year old playmaker before they find Tito Vilanova's replacement.
