Everton make Gareth Barry enquiry
Everton have been in contact with Manuel Pellegrini regarding the availability of England international midfielder Gareth Barry. Barry has been told he is no longer a guaranteed starter in Pellegrini's first team this season.
Barry had been told back in July that he could find a new club and had been linked with a move to Arsenal and even abroad, with Spanish side Valencia rumoured to have been interested in the player.
However, Everton manager Roberto Martinez has instructed club representatives to pursue a potential loan move for the midfielder and is even considering a permanent transfer for the defensive midfielder.
Barry's top priority is regular first team football as he guns for a place in Roy Hodgson's England squad in a World Cup year.
