Roma readying bid for Chelsea forward Demba Ba
Chelsea striker Demba Ba is being monitored by Italian side Roma. The Senegal international striker has long been linked with a move away from the Blues since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, with West Ham believed to have had an offer rejected already.
The striker is being chased by Roma manager Rudi Garcia, who is looking for a new forward to replace Pablo Osvaldo, who this week joined Southampton in a club record deal.
Since his arrival in January, Demba Ba has had very mixed fortunes at Stamford Bridge. However, with Chelsea set to continue their pursuit of Wayne Rooney, Demba Ba's future at the Blues looks very much uncertain.
Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is reportedly in London and is set to meet Chelsea officials today.
