Jose Mourinho eyes Kurt Zouma for Chelsea transfer
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has identified St. Etienne defender Kurt Zouma as the long term replacement for club captain John Terry. The Blues' have sent scouts to monitor the Frenchman in action.
Zouma is arguably one of the best young defenders in Europe and several teams have been monitoring him in action. Arsenal, AC Milan, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly amongst his potential suitors. The 19-year-old has been valued by his club at a reported 25 million Euros.
The defender is currently suspended for 10 games after breaking the tibia and fibula of a rival midfielder during a game last year, but as soon as the player returns he is expected to be monitored by top European scouts.
There remains some doubt about the long term future of Chelsea's captain John Terry at Stamford Bridge as Jose Mourinho seeks to find a replacement as quickly as possible.
