Man Utd plot summer move for Man City defender
Manchester United are preparing a summer bid for Manchester City's out-of-favour defender Joleon Lescott, as a potential replacement for outbound captain Nemanja Vidic, according to the Daily Star.
The report claims that manager David Moyes is keen on a reunion with his former charge at Everton in the summer, when his contract expires with the Citizens.
Lescott has been benched for much of the season, and with chances rare to come by for the talented England international, manager Manuel Pellegrini has opted not to offer a new deal.
However, Moyes could be the man to get the beat of the 31-year-old, should the club secure his services in the summer ahead of Turkish club Besiktas, who have approached the player over a possible switch.
