Liverpool to sign Belgian Zakaria?

Bakkali to Premier League?

Brendan Rodgers has reportedly made progress in signing Belgian young winger Zakaria Bakkali from Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven.

Liverpool has reportedly made an £8m bid for the 18-year old. If the Anfield side successfully complete the transfer of the youngster, it would constitute their fourth signing of the summer.

Zakaria Bakkali hit headlines at the start of 2013-14 season with a hat-trick in the Eredivisie (becoming the youngest player of all time to score a hattrick in Eredivisie)and winning a place in the Belgian national side.

Bakkali is part of Belgium's 'golden generation' and could follow in the footsteps of adopted Premier League stars Eden Hazard, Kevin Mirallas and Marouane Fellaini.

PSV is fearing losing the talent on a free transfer next year as his contract runs out in 2015 and so, are trying to cash on the youngster this summer.

A combined £30 million on 20-year-old pair Lazar Markovic and Emre Can, as well as a further £25 million on Southampton star Adam Lallana confirms Rodgers' desire to build a team for the long-term.

Tottenham and Valencia have also been linked with a move for the talented winger.
