Manchester United slump to opening day defeat
Man Utd were beaten 2-1 by Swansea City at Old Trafford today. Goals from Ki Sung-Yeung and Gylfi Sigurdsson were enough to wrap up all three points for the Welsh club.
Louis Van Gaal's opening game in charge at Old Trafford failed to go according to plan as South Korean international Ki-Sung Yeung scored the first goal of the Premier League season on 24 minutes.
Wayne Rooney then responded with an equaliser later on as he turned home a flick on from Phil Jones from a corner.
Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson was on hand later on to wrap up the three points as he struck with his left foot from 10 yards.
An excellent start to Garry Monk's campaign and Swansea City's first league win at Old Trafford and it is back to the drawing board for Louis van Gaal.
