AC Milan contact Fernando Torres' agent

Serie A outfit AC Milan have reportedly made contact with the agent of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres regarding a potential switch to the San Siro this summer.

The Spain international has been the subject of speculation over the summer, with his place in the first-team under uncertainty following the arrival of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa at the club.

Manager Jose Mourinho had recently dismissed talks over the striker's sale, but The Metro now suggests that Milan are ready to tempt the Blues into selling off their star asset.

It is believed that the Italian side are initially interested in signing Torres on a temporary basis as a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who completed his transfer to Liverpool.
