Schalke keen on signing Chelsea outcast
New Schalke manager Roberto di Matteo is believed to be keen on signing Chelsea striker Fernando Torres in January, The Express reports.
The Spain international joined Serie A giants AC Milan on a two-season loan deal over the summer, following the arrival of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Express, newly appointed Schalke boss Roberto di Matteo is keen on a reunion with Torres, with whom he worked during his time at Chelsea.
The report adds that Blues will recall the 30-year-old in the New Year, with Schalke keen on launching an offer for his services.
Torres's current deal at Chelsea expires in the summer of 2016.
