Real Madrid defender offered to Arsenal and Liverpool
Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign up Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao before the transfer deadline.
The Portugal international has failed to cement his place in the first-team this season, with manager Carlo Ancelotti favouring in-form Marcelo ahead of him in the pecking order.
According to The Star, the Gunners and the Reds are likely to turn down the offer of signing the talented full-back.
It is understood that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is satisfied with the arrival of Gabriel Paulista to boost his defensive setup, while Brendan Rodgers considers Coentrao as an expensive option to risk upon.
Coentrao is currently valued at £25m by Los Blancos.
